On November 19th, we officially announced our third book TRADEMARKS, a complete archive of all the logos we’ve designed in commemoration of the two decades since our founding. This small-but-dense book stands at a mere 10 x 10 cm, but contains, within its 428 pages, over 350 logos from our portfolio divided into 3 chapters; logomarks, logotypes, and dynamic logos, as well as essays from our founder and Design Principal, Eric Widjaja, and Partners & Art Directors; Ritter Willy Putra, Ira Carella, and Bram Patria Yoshugi, contemplating and examining the practice of logo design, imparting the lessons learned from their professional experience.

A visual chronicle of all the marks we’ve made on the industry, TRADEMARKS is a culmination of Thinking*Room’s journey. It showcases how our creative practice shifts and progresses with each different designer coming and leaving their mark on us as a creative practice. In total, TRADEMARKS is the sum of the creative minds of 45 designers. It also holds a mirror to how logo design as a practice has changed alongside us, reflecting the ever-shifting tides of design influences and trends that have impacted the industry.
As such, TRADEMARKS not only documents the creative evolution of Thinking*Room as a design studio, but the concurrent evolution of the Indonesian graphic design industry since Thinking*Room opened our doors.
As a studio, our enthusiasm for this book was palpable in our participation at ADGI Design Week (ADW) 2025. The Weight of Two Decades, our display designed by Bram at the GRAFIS’25 exhibition, placed TRADEMARKS as the focal point. TRADEMARKS sits on the center of a large resin stone, distorted by the massive weight that the compact book carries, carrying the many distinct stories we have carefully crafted. TRADEMARKS was also first exclusively sold at their ADGI Design Store.
This all came to a head at our book launch as part of the ADGI Design Talks on the last day of ADW 2025. We were keen to share this book and were so heartened to receive such a warm welcome and see our eager enthusiasm for TRADEMARKS mirrored in the crowd. A full-house! It was such a joy to see many of you, book in hand, engaging with our work and thoughts on logo design over the years.

We discussed how the book itself went through many transformations before its publishing. The development of TRADEMARKS actually began early this year. How we tried numerous different approaches to the look and feel of the book, playing with colors and dimensions to find the right combination that would best represent not only the work, but us as a creative practice. How, at the end of the day, yellow has almost become synonymous to Thinking*Room as a studio throughout the two decades. How each of the essays in this book pull directly from our first-hand experience.
Through TRADEMARKS, we showed how symbols, in particular, make up a large chunk of our consciousness. A visual element integral to our practice. Every single logo we've created carries the weight of a unique narrative. A unique face. A unique identity. Each one is a small testament to the power of symbols. Together, they form not just a record of our work, but a portrait of how we've evolved. TRADEMARKS is a snapshot of how far we’ve come, a glimpse of where we are creatively, as we step into what lies ahead. You can grab your copy of TRADEMARKS at our Tokopedia page here.
