We ought to think that there are many reasons to turn to the next chapter of our journey. This time, our new chapter takes place in the city of Bandung. It begins with a few occurrences that accumulate into one decision, much like how the right nooks of a key opens the one right door.
Strolling back to the end of 2019, we've always dreamed of becoming a company that can run sustainably with whoever and at wherever it is. A momentum started in early 2020 when Ira had to go back to Bandung whilst still being a part of our team. With this move, we sought a workspace our friends at Seeds Motion eventually shared with us until we could find the one space for us. Then further in 2020 had quite the impact as we know it, changing the way we work and live from the safety of our homes. With half of our members being Bandung-based including Ira who had already moved then, we split up into 2-city teams.
When times started to get better, both teams incorporated a hybrid working situation for offline team meeting needs. But the Bandung team was a small one then, and our members carried on with a shared space and a borrowed table. But with that borrowed table, we walked forward and decided that it was the right time to grow in numbers for the Bandung team.
As we welcomed new faces and great minds, we grew organically. With these occurrences, our chances of becoming the company we dream to be started to see new lights. From our own wonder, a new momentum, the pandemic’s new policy, to the growing number of our team, everything led to the opening of our new second home.
It might be a new place, but it’s really more about the same sounds we hear whenever we work from the office. The random rambles, what’s-for-lunch talks, occasional baby babbles, coffee questions, giggles and sighs over a full-day's work. With a new entrance, we’re not expanding our business. We are just extending our room, to give more space for creative talents in the two cities to grow and make great things together.
